Well my free trial of Adobe Acrobat finally ran out after 30 days. I needed a way to convert my microsoft word documents to pdf format. I like to make invoices for my web design projects, and save them as pdf. I did not want to pay alot of money for word to pdf conversion. Then the solution struck me. I use Suse Linux at work, and I need open office to open up the MS Word and MS Excel documents that all the windows users send around. I came across this new feature in Open Office 1.1.3 that allows you to export to pdf format with one click of the button. Since Open Office can read MS Word documents, this became the perfect free solution for pdf conversion on both windows and linux. Once you open up the Open Office Writer, there is a little pdf document icon at the top center of the tool bar. If you click on this, it will open a file dialog box asking for the name to save your pdf file as. It worked perfectly, and it even handled converting the embedded tables into pdf format. Now you can create all you business forms in word or even open office format and save them as pdf. Check it out and download a free copy of
